About j-level

After originally working as a Drum and Bass DJ and Producer in Leeds, I moved back to London in the summer of 2004 and started to change the music I was writing and playing. Having started to listen to a lot of downbeat / psychedelic music I was inspired to start producing music that came more naturally, music that I didn't try to fit into a genre. The change in style produced a big response and in October 2005 I was offered a recording contract with a London based dance/downbeat label 'Thirteen[rec]'.

Since then the music has been flowing and I have been working on various projects incorporating my digital style with live instruments and have been revisiting my roots writing a lot more acoustic songs. The j-level story is just beginning...
