About Jon Butler

Jon started his Dj’ing career in London’s East end in the early 80’s. It wasn't long before his DJing passion led him on his journey through the bars and clubs across the world.

He has played hundreds of Dance parties and Fashion events in New York and Fire Island ,including Twilo and the notorious Black party, and working also for the Uber trendy Mother club, with Johnny Dynell and Chi Chi Valente.

He played such parties as the Butch Ball up against Danny Tenaglia and working for the notorious Junior Vasquez.

His musical style reflects all the genres of house music from the various countries he plays including South Africa, Brazil, Spain (where he also supplied soundtracks for Chanel and other fashionistas) and of course London, where he’s currently  a mainstay at Crash. His busy schedule includes various guest radio sets such as Pulse Radio.

In late 2005 Thirteen[rec] were comissioned by cutting edge London company Soho Gyms to produce its Freedom Beats compilation CD mixed by Jon Butler, which is out now. See Releases gallery for how to buy.
