About Gianni Roma

Coming from a music background, Gianni was a pianist for seven years in his home town of Termoli (Italy) from the early age of nine. This original Italian Sagittarius super talent DJ / Producer began his career at the tender age of fourteen.

In 1994 he played his first mix in a pub and in a couple of disco-bars.

In 1995 he became a co-owner of a record shop with a friend. This record shop helped him to get gigs and openned doors for him in Italy and Europe.

In 1997 he opened his own studio and it is here he spends most of his time producing and releasing his own style of music which can be described as Italian sexy and energetic funky electro teckhouse with bass lines and guitars snippets which 'rock-da-floor'.

Gianni Roma has DJ’d in many Italian clubs like: Aise Club, Le Tre Caravelle, Space 2000, L’Arcadia and Bounty Club. He also DJ’d at: Insomnia Discoacropoli D’Italia (Pisa), Ecu Club and Embassy (Rimini), Censura (Teramo), Impero and Blue Note (Campobasso), Energy and Mucca Assassina (Roma), plus the D&G birthday in 1998 and many parties in the parks and on the beaches of Italy.

In 1999 he came fourth in the "National DJ of the Year" competition in Italy, for technical ability and he played his special “Gianni Roma Charts” at Radio Canale 102 and at Radio Ketchup in Pescara.

He has played alongside some of the famous Italian DJ’s like: Joe T Vannelli, Flavio Vecchi, Claudio Coccoluto, Stefano Noferini, Alex Neri, Francesco Farfa, Mario Piu’, Ralf and Francesco Zappala as well as international DJ’s such as: Satoshi Tomiie, Frankie Knuckles, DavidGuetta, David Morales, Olav Basoski, Bob Sinclaire, Boy George, Todd Terry and many more.

At the end of 1999 he moved to London to continue his international success.

In 2000 he DJ’d his first set at Rousch and "rocked the place". He went on to become resident deejay.

In 2001 he began DJ’ing in bars such as: Sanctuary, Sanderson, Manto and The Edge and now has been producing for the Evolution Studio Recording and Thirteen[rec] in London. Gianni DJ’d at the most famous after hours in the British capital too: A:M, Beyond and Orange. He also played in: Le Queen (Paris), Hard Rock Café Montigo Bay (Jamaica), Misteryland (Holland), Stratos and Posthallen Europride 2005 Oslo (Norway), Gaypride and Street Parade 2005 and Ohm Club Madrid (Spain), Gay Pride and Street Parade 2005 and Heaven Club in Playa Del Ingles (Gran Canaria), Red & Blue Antwerp (Belgium), Mecca in Prague (Czeck Republic), Ultralounge Club in Jardins Sao Paolo (Brasil), Twist, Later, Uniform, Crash, 333, Element, Addictedto Pleasure, Roush, Babylon, 12, Chemistry, Cargo, Ministry of Sound, Theraphy, Heaven, Town House, Funkybuddha, Pacha and many more in London.

Currently Gianni Roma spins his turbo sound at: Discotec (The End), Element, Fuel, Juicy, Heaven (Gran Canaria) and Léquipe Anglaise and regular parties in Europe and Italy.

In 2003 he was discovered by Salvation promoters Alex Erfan and Steve Elliot and is touring with them in Europe (Madrid, Antwerp, Prague, Amsterdam, Gran Canaria, Brussels) and worldwide (Brasil).
