Jake Cymo- Error Within
London, 28 July 2008 - 00:00
Following the successful eps of J-Horror and Acid 3, and a string of remixes for artists such as Victoria Wilson James, Avitas, Soul-Tek, Vanity Project, Teflon Child, and Fatima Meets Kuriaki, Jake Cymo now presents his first full length album.
This double album, Error Within, is an eclectic mix of collected works that Jake Cymo produced between 2005-2007.
The LP puts on display Jake Cymo's unique versatility as an artist, effortlessly shifting gears through a whole host of genres.
The First side, entitled Input Error, focuses itself in a slightly blue, but still dancefloor friendly direction.
Starting things with the melodic breakbeat of Internal Dialog, Input Error moves through the techy grooves of J-horror, Last Night of Remembrance, and Mental Circuitry, before coming to rest with the driving, late night house of Urban Transport.
Side 2, entitled Output Error hits the dancefloor a bit harder.
The disk begins with the melodic acid of Androidgenous, moves nicely through the bouncy, atmospheric technofest of Celestial Enterprise, the tuff acid of Acid 3 and Error Within, and the peak-time trancey micro-house of Vanished.
The album comes to rest with the a forward-thinking downtempo track entitled Druids and Druids, which unexpectedly morphs itself into chilled drum and bass.
